In 2023, Rewiring America and Enterprise Community Partners asked PVG to spearhead an application for GGRF funding. This partnership became Power Forward Communities (PFC)—a coalition of Enterprise Community Partners, Habitat for Humanity, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Rewiring America, and United Way Worldwide.

Overview

PVG drove the process for developing PFC’s successful application, facilitating the development of the coalition product strategy, the financial and CO2 impact models, and market-building activities. PFC was awarded a $2B GGRF grant to support decarbonizing single-family and multi-family affordable housing.

Program and Operational Design

PVG also played a critical role in establishing PFC as an organization and in developing implementation plans to deploy the funding. PVG leveraged its expertise in financial products, go-to-market planning, program design, and organizational development across 13 different areas, including Single-Family Financial Product Design, Multi-Family Financial Product Design, Workforce Development, Contractor Development, Performance Management, Community Engagement, Pipeline and Target Markets, Partnership Strategy, Software, and Multi-Family Technical Assistance. In addition to designing the activities and deliverables across PFC the coalition, PVG drove many of the operational activities required for establishing PFC the entity.

Program Launch

PVG designed and executed PFC’s launch plans, culminating in a kick-off meeting with 100 attendees across the coalition. In addition to planning and facilitating the launch strategy and event, PVG drove the refinement of all implementation plans for each of the 13 programmatic areas, facilitating review sessions with coalition leaders and managing integration of all 13 revised implementation plans. At the launch event, PVG presented a cohesive vision and launch plan for the first six months of PFC deployment.
